A few times a year, some of the fastest and most powerful cars meet in Texas for an adrenaline-filled weekend of top-speed runs called the Texas Mile. The high-performance machines have one mile of arrow-straight runway to get the highest top speed at the one-mile marker. It was the right mix of conditions for Mark Heidaker and Sean Kennedy, who drove their twin-turbocharged Ford GT to a top speed of 235.1 mph down the runway into a decent headwind of 20 mph.
The Roewe 350 is the first model built atop parent company SAIC's new A-class platform. At first sight, there appears considerable overlap with this latest model and the Roewe 550, but the 350's 2650mm wheelbase and overall length of 4521mm is roughly 100mm shorter than the 550. The 100th Koenigsegg – the Koenigsegg Hundra, based on the Agera S – is heading for a debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Koenigsegg Hundra (hundra means 100th in Swedish) is a right hand drive Agera S in clear carbon with 24 carat gold leaf inlays – Artisan applied, of course – creating what Koenigsegg are calling “…an intriguing mix of traditional and hi-tech craftsmanship”. We’re assuming that the Koenigsegg Hundra is heading for Hong Kong because Koenigsegg has based it on the Agera S – which can produce the 1030 horses of the Agera R but without needing to use biofuel – and it’s right hand drive.
